FAQ about the BMW X1
How much does a new BMW X1 cost?+
The German list price of the BMW X1 excl. VAT starts from 30 319 € (approx. 741 900 Kč); the final price depends on the engine and equipment. Both private individuals and companies can order it through Caradvance GmbH near Munich (Geretsried) — contact us for an exact quotation.
Which engines is the BMW X1 available with?+
The BMW X1 is available with petrol and diesel engines, delivering 136–300 hp. Typical versions: X1 sDrive18i, X1 sDrive20i, X1 sDrive18d, X1 M35i xDrive. We'll help you choose the version that suits you best.
What VAT do I pay on a new car?+
A new car (up to 6 months from first registration or with no more than 6 000 km) is always taxed within the EU in the buyer's country – in the Czech Republic at 21 % VAT. Caradvance GmbH issues you an invoice without German VAT, and you pay the Czech VAT in the Czech Republic: a private individual declares and pays it at their tax office within 10 days of acquiring the car, a company includes it in its tax return. We will explain the procedure when you order. The advantage is the German price and choice, not lower VAT.
Is the factory warranty valid for a BMW X1 brought in from Germany?+
Yes. A new car comes with the manufacturer's warranty throughout the European Union — including the Czech Republic — and servicing can be carried out at any authorised workshop of the brand in the Czech Republic.
How long does the import take?+
From stock, typically a few weeks; for a factory order, it depends on the configuration. We handle every step of sourcing, delivery, homologation and registration.
Can the BMW X1 be leased or rented?+
Yes — the BMW X1 can be purchased with leasing or financing, and it is also available on long-term rental for a single monthly fee, with servicing and tyres included.
How big is the boot of the BMW X1?+
The BMW X1's boot holds 540 litres and can be extended to up to 1600 litres by folding the rear seats.
